Magnificent Mustang Talent Show!
Attention all Talented Mustangs,
This year will kick-off our first annual DIS Talent Show, in which all grades are welcome to participate! Common acts may include singing, dancing, tumbling, comedy, etc. but almost any creative performance will work. If you are interested in auditioning, the following guidelines must be followed:
Once Round One has been completed, the selected students will receive a permission slip for Round Two of auditions. This round will be after school on Thursday, May 11th. The judges will be impartial personnel from our district. The acts they select will receive a congratulatory letter and will perform in the talent show! Students must stay after school on Thursday May 18th for the required dress rehearsal from 2:45-3:45pm. The final showcase performance will be on Thursday May 18th at 6:30pm in the DIS cafeteria. Please ensure that you can attend the dress rehearsal and final performance before returning the talent show application, which will be sent home soon. If you have questions about acts, please email Miss Raley at [email protected]

This year will kick-off our first annual DIS Talent Show, in which all grades are welcome to participate! Common acts may include singing, dancing, tumbling, comedy, etc. but almost any creative performance will work. If you are interested in auditioning, the following guidelines must be followed:
- Each act will audition for round one in front of Miss Raley and their peers during Music class the week of May 1st 2017.
- Words, materials, and subject matter must be age-appropriate as well as appropriate for the school setting. Lyrics MUST be submitted BEFORE the student auditions in round one, for any song or CD being used. We reserve the right to refuse anything deemed inappropriate by staff. In this event, the student may choose another song.
- If the student sings, they must provide their own background CD that does not include the words (i.e. a karaoke track).
- If the student plays an instrument, they must provide their own unless it is piano. The school has a piano that can be used.
- Acts can be no longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds from stage entrance to stage exit.
- If the act contains students of multiple grades, they will audition during the most common grade level’s resource.
- All participants can only perform one time and must be currently enrolled Doctors Inlet students.
- If selected, you MUST attend the dress rehearsal and the final showcase performance.
